Hurt BillBill Hurt Pastor
Our Pastor is Bill Hurt. Pastor Bill is a proud veteran of the US Air Force and a retired police officer. Pastor Bill was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He began his ministry work in 2011 and was involved in jail/prison ministry. He is the past vice president of Exodus Prison Ministry. Pastor Bill previously led Royal Ambassadors and taught a coed adult Sunday School at his previous church. He was licensed to preach in 2015 and was ordained in 2018.
Pastor Bill and his family joined Canaan Trail Baptist Church on February 7, 2021. After the previous pastor's departure, Pastor Bill was selected to be interim pastor on April 10, 2022. On October 11, 2022, he became the senior pastor at Canaan Trail. Pastor Bill is married to his wife, Kim, and they have two sons, Michael, who lives in Lubbock, and Tyler, who lives in New Mexico.
Pastor Bill has a heart for ministry and evangelism.
